The DC inverter compressor in the SRC25ZS-W2 continuously adjusts its speed to match actual demand. Rather than switching on and off repeatedly, the unit runs at the most energy-efficient level at all times — resulting in noticeably lower electricity costs, consistently comfortable room temperatures, and a significantly extended service life. In cooling mode, the SRC25ZS-W2 achieves efficiency class A++ (SEER 8.5) and in heating mode likewise A++ (SCOP 4.7).
The SRC25ZS-W2 is designed for heating operation down to −15 °C outdoor temperature. The integrated automatic defrost control and regulated DC fan motor ensure stable operation even in winter conditions. The switchable Silent Mode reduces the sound pressure level to 42/43 dB(A) — ideal for quiet evening hours or noise-sensitive environments.
The SRC25ZS-W2 is designed as a single outdoor unit for exactly one compatible indoor unit — no indoor unit is included in the delivery. Compatible indoor units from the ZS series (e.g. wall unit SRK25ZS-WF with 2.5 kW and WiFi) are available separately. The electrical connection is 4-wire; power supply at the outdoor unit. Refrigerant lines are not included and must be sourced separately.

What refrigerant does the unit use?The SRC25ZS-W2 uses refrigerant R32 with a GWP value of 675 — significantly more climate-friendly than the older R410A. The unit comes pre-charged with 0.62 kg R32, covering pipe lengths up to 15 m.
How quiet is the outdoor unit in operation?During normal operation, the sound pressure level is 46 dB(A) (cooling and heating). With Silent Mode activated, levels drop to 42 dB(A) (cooling) and 43 dB(A) (heating). Silent Mode can be activated on a timer via the indoor unit remote control.
Is the unit suitable for winter heating?Yes. The SRC25ZS-W2 is designed for heating down to −15 °C outdoor temperature. The automatic defrost control ensures reliable operation even in frosty conditions.
Is the unit eligible for BAFA or KfW subsidies?The SRC25ZS-W2 is generally eligible for BAFA/KfW subsidies and is SG Ready capable — the latter with the optional network service adapter SC-BIKN2-E as an accessory. The specific subsidy conditions must be verified on a case-by-case basis by an energy consultant or professional installer.
